members $72; non-members $80 Qigong
[Chi Gong] is an ancient Chinese art of self-cultivation
that fosters health, relaxation, and calm. Graceful,
expansive motions serve to facilitate the flow of blood,
lymphatic fluid, and qi [chi] through the body to boost
vitality and flush out toxins from body tissues.
Visualizations and meditation focus the practitioner's mind
inward and promote greater body awareness. This peaceful
practice relieves stress and offers a low-impact exercise
that is wonderful restorative and preventative medicine for
body, mind, and spirit. Many
will recognize Carl Lindberg from his musical work with
Grogus, Squat, Kenosha Kid, Steve Dancz, and
DubConscious. In addition to music, Lindberg has been
practicing the movement of Qigong and Taiji [Tai Chi] for
14 years. He has worked under the guidance of Master Chen
Zhonghua of the Hunyuantaiji Academy since September 2003
and has taught Qigong at various locations.
